OUR HISTORY

Diverse Safety & Scaffolding (DSS) was founded in 2010 to provide scaffolding solutions and comprehensive safety services.

These businesses leverage our specialization in creating safe and efficient work environments where people can work confidently, maximize their productivity and achieve results.

Our initial focus was the offshore platforms and facilities serving the Gulf of Mexico. It was in this unforgiving work environment that we established a track record of providing exceptionally safe scaffolding solutions for difficult temporary access challenges. We built our reputation on an unparalleled commitment to safety, and extended our reach to onshore job sites, including refineries, plants, shipyards and other land-based facilities.

We added our Fire & Safety division to provide our customers with a comprehensive one-stop solution for safety solutions – for both onshore and offshore work environments. We offer a complete line-up of safety capabilities, including safety system consulting, Fall Protection, inspection services, Fire Watch, equipment sales, equipment rental, Safety Representatives and more.

Today, we stand ready to help you solve any temporary access or safety challenge, whether on land or offshore.

LEADERSHIP

David Knight

President

David provides both strategic and hands-on leadership of the DSS Team. He is a skilled leader with a track record of building high-performance work teams, managing growth and developing repeatable processes for ensuring ongoing safe operations and high levels of customer satisfaction. Dave is responsible for all activities at DSS including safety, strategic planning, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, financial management and maintaining our corporate culture. Prior to DSS, Dave was president of Dolphin Energy Equipment, and served in positions of increasing responsibility at National Oilwell Varco.

Jeff LeMaire

Director of Operations

Jeff Manages all day-to-day operations out of our New Iberia office and is an integral part in helping support both the scaffolding and fire and safety divisions of DSS.  He has 27 years of experience in the industry.  Jeff’s experience ranges from working in the Gulf to managing safety and operations with various companies in the industry.  Jeff emphasizes great customer service as a top priority all while ensuring our employees are working to the highest standards of safety and integrity.

Anthony Adams

Sales Manager

Anthony has over 15 years of experience as a Business Development Manager and has worked with customers in the upstream, midstream and downstream markets.  He and his sales team excel in out-of-the-box thinking that gets customers projects done safely, efficiently and on budget.  Anthony and the DSS team pride themselves in delivering exemplary customer service as the foundation of a successful relationship with all customers.  Anthony earned his B.S degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

Gerard Boutte Jr.

Offshore Scaffolding Project Manager

Gerard manages the majority of the day-to-day aspects of DSS’s offshore scaffolding division. He has over 10 years of experience in oil and gas operations, logistical management and scaffold training. Gerard earned his Competent Person, Advanced Hands On, Design/Loading, & Suspended Trainer certifications through Scaffold Training Institute of Texas.

Morial Vallot

Controller

Morial is a Certified Management Accountant and has over 10 years of experience working in the Oil & Gas sector. As a graduate of Tulane and University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Morial is deeply rooted in Louisiana and enjoys volunteering his time to help local businesses. He specializes in job costing, budgeting, and forecasting, and he is charged with assuring that our financials are accurate and in order.

Cal Rogers

Operations Manager | Safety Division

Cal Manages all day-to-day operations for Onshore and Offshore Safety and inspection Divisions of DSS.  He has 22 years of experience in the industry.  Cal’s experience ranges from working in the Gulf, to working in Operations with multiple companies in the Safety and Construction industries.  Cal provides DSS customers with service needed to maintain excellent safety records.

Shannon Dubois

HSE/HR-Business Development Director

Shannon provides DSS with traditional HSE/HR -Business Development fundamentals while focusing on best-in-class strategic planning, leadership, training and other competitive advantages in our ever changing industry. As a Safety, Regulatory, Environmental Compliance, and HR professional in the Oil & Gas Industry, Shannon began her career 15 years ago in the Exploration & Production Business Unit. She then went on to consult for various service industries. Her experience across the exploration, production and service sectors brings a unique balance and understanding to the practice and application of guidelines and procedures. Shannon is responsible for developing policies and people, as well as the company culture to ensure that both the client and employees are satisfied, and compliance is upheld.
